One Week Left Until the Spring/Summer Idea Book 2014 is Out!

Spring is in the air at Close to My Heart.  The new Spring and Summer Idea Book will be available starting February 1st.  Make sure to check out all the new papers and accessories this Saturday that will hopefully help brighten the dull days of February.  You won't believe all the great treats CTMH has in store for you.

In the meantime, make sure you get your last minute Worshops on the Go and various accessories from the Fall/Winter Idea book now before they are no longer available.  Shop here today.

Below are a few layouts I created using the Frosted Workshop on the Go kit.  The are perfect for any kind of winter photos.  I love the soft colors and trendy patterns.  This paper pack will not be available come February 1st.  Purchase yours today.

Additionally, these two cute layouts are a perfect fit for this weeks Heart 2 Heart Challenge.  This week challenge was to showcase an item or person.  That was a no brainer for me as all my layouts showcase my favorite people....MY KIDS.  The first layout basically puts the sibling love my two children share into the spotlight.  I love when I can capture candid photos that catch their true smiles.  The second layout spotlights my daughter in her winter dance recital  from last year.  The multiple small photo frames enable me to use a lot of "close-up" photos to showcase her in that moment in time.
Enjoy!

Quick and Simple Disney Album with Studio J

It's been nearly 3 months since we returned from our great Disney Vacation in October, but I still love to relive the fun days we had every now and again.  Thanks to Studio J's online scrapbooking sight I was able to scrap our entire vacation in no time with so little effort.  The website basically put my pages together for me, I just added the fun stuff (photos, titles, journaling and an embellishment here and there).  Plus after ordering my 12 x 12 pages for my album, I was able to make an 8 x 8 mni album the grandparents with the jpegs I received.  Here are a few of the pages I created to commemorate our trip.

Cover and Back Page.

We loved "Goofy's Kitchen."   It was a great laid back way to meet and greet many Disney Characters.
Our first mistake regarding planning and making the most of our time at Disney.  Who knows why we chose this "Autopia" first, but the kids thought it was great.  In the grand scheme of things we really did get to see all we had planned, so this poor choice didn't really make a difference.

Some of the caves and displays on pirate island were a little too real for Jake.  They truly freaked him out.  He had fun none the less.
Who doesn't love to see Mickey Mouse?
Day 2 was just as fun a s Day 1, plus is was sunny!

Don't miss the Disney parades, they are amazing!

I love how Studio J allows you to insert scanned images into your layouts too.  It is such a great way to personalize your scrapbook and make it unique to you.   Think of the posiblities...drawings, letters, ticket stubs and so much more!
Now if I could only get these pages into an album, I could enjoy them so much more.

P.S.  Feel free to click on the pages to see them close up.
